Yellow Sweater Vs. Yellow Pants

Easter Week has presented to us two yellow outfits - one from Ashley Olsen and one from Mischa Barton.
Ashley wore a yellow sweater twice, over what appears to be a skirt and with some strange trousers, and I still don't get it.
Mischa sported a pair of super-tight high-waisted yellow banana pants with her belly hanging out, but it's no surprise because her sense of taste is arguable.
